About Foreglow.
Foreglow is an iPhone app for making short voice notes addressed to you from your future self, then pairing them with a private vision board that can live on your lock screen.

The basic idea is deliberately small. You answer a few guided questions about one part of life you want to change. Foreglow turns the useful details into a short spoken note from the perspective of the person you are becoming. You can correct anything that feels wrong, choose a prepared voice or use your own recording, and keep the note on your phone.
This is a reflection and planning tool. It is not a prediction engine, a medical product or a promise that listening to audio will cause an outside event. The point is to make an intention concrete enough to hear, edit and act on. The best ending is usually one modest next step, not a grand claim about the universe.
Why privacy is part of the product
Future-self notes can contain the kinds of details people do not want turned into an advertising profile: relationships, money worries, health routines, work, home and identity. Foreglow is designed so saved notes and boards stay on the device, generated audio can be exported, and existing notes remain playable after a subscription ends. Our privacy page explains the current boundaries in plain language.
The website also includes browser-only tools. The vision board wallpaper maker processes chosen photos in the browser rather than uploading them, the weekly subscription calculator does its arithmetic locally, and the future-self letter generator turns typed details into an editable draft without storing or transmitting them.
Why an app publishes research and comparisons
People searching for manifestation apps are often trying to answer practical questions before downloading: What does this cost after the trial? Is the advertised price weekly or yearly? Can I hear or see something useful before payment? What happens to what I made if I cancel?
We publish dated competitor comparisons because public app listings frequently make those answers harder to assemble than they should be. We are an interested party, not a neutral review publication. That conflict is stated on the comparison page. Our answer is a repeatable method: link primary sources, label unknowns, annualise unlike billing periods, state what another app does better, and avoid inventing a universal winner.
We also publish aggregate findings from a corpus of 56,780 coded public reviews. The research page names every denominator, provides a downloadable aggregate CSV, and explains why review counts cannot be presented as customer counts.
Pricing and availability
Foreglow launched on the App Store on 2 September 2026. Its US listing shows $9.99 monthly or $49.99 yearly, with the first personalised note free and no weekly plan. Prices can change, so the pricing page is the dated source of truth.
Who is accountable for this work?
Foreglow is built by Abhinav Chauhan, who also researches and writes the comparisons, tools and aggregate review analysis on this site. That is not a claim of clinical or academic expertise; it is a clear line of responsibility for the product, the arithmetic and any corrections.
Editorial accountability
The editorial methodology explains how we choose sources, calculate prices, handle review data, mark publication dates and correct errors. We do not accept payment for rankings. We do not publish a claim merely because it is favourable to Foreglow. Product claims remain provisional until the production app and its eventual App Store purchase sheet support them.
