Foreglow/Pricing

THE PRICE

The price, before your dreams.

Most apps in this category show you the price after twelve screens of questions about your life. Foreglow shows it first, on purpose. Here it is.

$7.99 PER MONTH

or $39.99 for a year — which works out at $3.33 a month.

Your first note is free, forever.
No weekly plans, ever.

Why does "no weekly plans" matter?

Because a weekly price is designed to read as small. $9.99 a week sounds like a coffee. It is $519.48 a year, which is more than most people spend on their phone plan.

Every price on this page is a real, current App Store price with a link to where we read it. Work the arithmetic yourself with the weekly subscription calculator if you want to check ours.

What do you get without paying?

Your first note — the full thing, spoken, yours to keep. Not a preview, not thirty seconds, not a watermarked sample. It stays on your phone and keeps playing after any subscription ends.

The free tier also includes the whole board and wallpaper editor, playback of every note you have ever made, and export of any note as an audio file. What a subscription buys is more notes, the voice options, and the night loop.

How do you cancel?

In Settings on your iPhone, the same as every other App Store subscription — Apple handles the billing and Foreglow never sees your card. Cancelling takes about fifteen seconds and does not require emailing us, finding a hidden screen, or answering why.

When it lapses, nothing of yours is deleted. Notes you already made keep playing. Your board stays. Export still works. We do not hold your own recordings hostage to a renewal.

What the other apps charge

Prices below were read from each app's own US App Store listing on 4 August 2026. Apple publishes every price point a developer has configured, including promotional and legacy tiers, so these lists are wider than what a new user is offered today. Each app has its own page with the full breakdown, the reviews and what it does well: see all five. The method is described below and every capture is archived with its source URL.

Recurring plans disclosed on each app's US App Store listing, 4 August 2026. "Effective annual cost" is the listed price multiplied out over a year.
App Billing periods it discloses Cheapest recurring plan Effective annual cost
Foreglow Monthly, yearly $39.99 / year $39.99
Aya: Manifest Your Dream Self Weekly, monthly, yearly $9.99 / week $519.48
Manifest: Daily Journal Weekly, annual $2.99 / week $155.48
I am — Daily Affirmations Monthly, yearly, lifetime $59.99 / year $59.99
Gratitude: Self-Care Journal Monthly, quarterly, annual $29.99 / year $29.99
Stella — Manifest Anything None stated Not disclosed

Two entries need explaining rather than a footnote symbol.

Stella lists ten in-app purchases, all named "Stella - Unlimited" or "Stella Unlimited", priced between $6.99 and $79.99. None of the names says whether a price is charged weekly, monthly or once. We are not guessing, so the row says what is true: the billing period is not disclosed on the listing.

Gratitude is the closest thing in this table to honest pricing among the apps we checked. Its cheapest annual plan is $29.99, below Foreglow's. We are not going to hide that on our own pricing page.

The arithmetic

$9.99 × 52 = $519.48. $4.99 × 52 = $259.48. $2.99 × 52 = $155.48. A weekly price is not a smaller price. It is the same price in a smaller font.

Foreglow's yearly plan is $39.99. Against Aya's weekly plan at its listed rate, that is a difference of $479.49 over twelve months.

How were these prices checked?

Each app's US App Store product page was opened in a real browser on 4 August 2026 and its In-App Purchases list was read directly off the page. Publisher names and rating counts came from Apple's public lookup endpoint on the same day. Both captures are stored with their source URLs.

Prices change. If you are reading this well after August 2026, check the store listing yourself before trusting the number — and tell us if we are out of date, because a stale price table is worse than none.

Worth saying plainly

Foreglow is not the cheapest app on that table and does not claim to be. It is the one that tells you the number before it asks you anything about your life, does not sell a weekly plan, and lets you keep what you made after you stop paying.

If that is not worth $7.99 to you, the first note is still free and still yours.
