Foreglow/Weekly subscription calculator

A weekly price is not a smaller price.

It is the same price in a smaller font. Type any weekly subscription below and see what a year of it costs. What you type stays in your browser — it is not sent anywhere, including to us.

The weekly price

Why 52 and not 48?

Because a year has 52 weeks, not twelve four-week months. That four-week gap is worth about 8% of the total, and it is one reason a weekly price is genuinely harder to reason about than a monthly one — the intuitive shortcut is wrong.

Is weekly billing always a trick?

No. For something you genuinely use for a few weeks and then stop, weekly billing is honest and can be cheaper than being pushed into a year. The problem is a weekly price on a product designed to be used for years.

The tell is when an app offers weekly and annual side by side at wildly different effective rates. One app in our comparison set lists a $9.99 annual tier and a $7.99 weekly tier — $415.48 a year — for the same access.

Where do the example prices come from?

Each was read from that app's own US App Store product page on 4 August 2026 and archived with its source URL. Apple lists every price point a developer has configured, including promotional tiers, so a new user is not necessarily offered all of them.

Prices change. If one of these is out of date, tell us — a stale number here would undermine the entire point of the page.

What does Foreglow charge?

$7.99 a month or $39.99 a year, with no weekly plan and no plan to ever add one. Run our own numbers through the calculator if you like — that is why it accepts any value rather than only the ones that flatter us.
