Common weekly subscription prices, converted
A $9.99 weekly subscription costs $519.48 over 52 weeks. The table below converts other common app prices using the same formula: weekly price × 52 for annual cost, then annual cost ÷ 12 for a monthly equivalent.

Why 52 and not 48?
Because a year has 52 weeks, not twelve four-week months. That four-week gap is worth about 8% of the total, and it is one reason a weekly price is genuinely harder to reason about than a monthly one — the intuitive shortcut is wrong.
Is weekly billing always a trick?
No. For something you genuinely use for a few weeks and then stop, weekly billing is honest and can be cheaper than being pushed into a year. The problem is a weekly price on a product designed to be used for years.
The tell is when an app offers weekly and annual side by side at wildly different effective rates. One app in our comparison set lists a $9.99 annual tier and a $7.99 weekly tier — $415.48 a year — for the same access.

Each competitor example was read from its US App Store product page on 4 August 2026 and archived with its source URL. Public purchase lists may contain promotional or legacy tiers and do not necessarily show the full set of current offers. Check the actual purchase sheet before subscribing.
