The gap inside one app is the striking part. Its cheapest annual tier is $9.99. Its dearest weekly tier costs $415.48 over the same twelve months — forty-one times more for the same access. Which one you are shown is not something you control.
Is $2.99 a week cheap?
It reads that way. It is $155.48 a year, which is more than four times Foreglow's annual price and more than fifteen times Manifest's own cheapest annual tier.

What the 174 reviews suggest
With that sample size, the useful observation is which themes appear at all rather than their exact rate. Paywall-before-value is the most frequent (14 reviews), then surprise charges after a trial (10), then cancellation and refund trouble (7).

A note on those two: both describe billing disputes, and a billing dispute is between the user and Apple as much as the developer. We are reporting what reviewers wrote, not concluding that the developer took money improperly.
The most telling review in the set is a five-star one:

What Manifest does well
A 4.7 average across 2,547 US ratings, and 113 of the 174 reviews in our corpus are five stars. It writes billing periods into its plan names, which is more disclosure than Stella offers and is worth crediting. Reviewers describe it as simple and mention custom affirmations positively.
It is a journalling app with affirmations. If that is what you want, it is a competent one, and its $9.99 annual tier — if you are offered it — is the cheapest access in this entire comparison set.
